Lakshmi Poojan Muhurta for Diwali 2012 (Diwali ke Liye Lakshmi Poojan ka Muhurta)

I would like to wish all the readers of this blog a safe and happy Diwali. I am giving the muhurta for Lakshmi Poojan on Diwali which falls on 13th November.

Pradosh kaal is considered to be an auspicious time for lakshmi poojan and it is very easy to calculate the time for pradosh kaal for your city. Pradosh kaal lasts for approximately 2 hours and 24 minutes from the time of sunset. So, if you want to calculate the muhurta for lakshmi poojan for your city, please find out the sunset time for your city. The muhurta starts from this time till next 2 hours 24 minutes.

I am giving an example to find the muhurta for Chennai. I will first go to Google and search "sunset in Chennai"

 

The first link on Google gives the time for sunset in Chennai. After adding 2 hours and 24 minutes to it, I get 20:03 that means 8:03 PM. So the muhurta for Chennai would be from 17:39 to 20:03.

This way you can get muhurta for your own city.
