What is Your Zodiac Sign ? (Aapki Rashi Kya Hai ?)

I am almost 100 percent sure that if I ask this question to you, you will calculate the month in which you were born and based on that you will tell your Rashi (Zodiac Sign). There is a bit of ignorance in us regarding our actual rashi that is why I wanted to write this post. 

There are two types of rashis we all know; the sun sign and the moon sign. Most of us are aware about sun sign but are unaware about what moon sign is. If we look at the accuracy of predictions moon sign is a better choice. In Indian/vedic astrology moon sign has the most importance but in western astrology sun sign is given more importance. As in most of the cases we follow westerners blindly, we have done in this case as well.

The basis of moon sign is very subtle and accurate. For finding a moon sign, we need a person's date of birth, place of birth and time of birth. For finding a sun sign we only need to know day of birth and we can find out sun sign based on which range of days it falls in. 

For example all the people who were born between March 21 and April 20 range has sun sign Aries. So, if 100 million people were born in this range, they will all have their zodiac sign as Aries. Do you think weekly predictions that we see in newspapers or magazine based on sun sign can be accurate and same for all those 100 million people ?

In case of moon sign, a person born on 25 july 1977 at 6:00 AM in Ambala, Haryana will have a zodiac sign libra. But a person who was born only 2 hours after this person will have a different zodiac sign. So we can see how subtle and accurate vedic astrology is.

1)Go to the "Your Horoscope" section on the left side of this blog.

2)Enter your birth details and click "Submit" button.
